Kin: Oh there might be a package today.

Me: *grabbing my groin* I got your package right here.

Kin: It should have knives. Do you have knives in there?

Me: Wanna find OUT?

(their mom is sending us a set of kitchen knives)

@anthracite

Imagining you with knives down there, and your partner with what is essentially a knife block down there.

Oh baby.

@Phorm

That's a whole-ass Puzzlebox scene right there

@anthracite Heck.

I really missed the boat on Puzzlebox, because of that was the norm there, that's awesome.

@Phorm @anthracite

You are aware that it is still a going thing, right?

@JulieSqveakaroo @anthracite

To my knowledge, the Puzzlebox MUCK closed down over a decade ago. Sometime between 2005 and 2010, according to the Wikifur article.

I know that 12Fold replaced it, to some degree, but that server *also* shutdown some time ago and is no longer in existence.

The latest similar iteration might be considered the Postfurry Worlds MUCK - Which is admittedly still in operation. However, while technically functional, I would categorize it as "extremely deserted", as it typically has anywhere from 4-6 people online at any time, and of those people, 5-6 of them are perpetually idle.

So, uh, I don't think it's actually a going thing anymore sadly.

@Phorm @JulieSqveakaroo @anthracite Saturdays, at two pacific, if you can swing it! Kind of 'active muck time' on purpose. I've done a bunch of building and try and come on then, and elsetimes, eyestrain and schedule permitting!

@PhoenixTril @JulieSqveakaroo

Sadly 2 PM PST on Saturdays is when I have a standing engagement, so I've never been able to make it. But I do appreciate the information!

@Phorm @PhoenixTril

I'm sorry... I thought it was more active than that.

@JulieSqveakaroo @PhoenixTril

It's okay.

More than a place, I get the sense that it was a point in time. An era. Synchronicity between online travelers, in an environment that was unique.

As they say, the spirit of an age is something to which one can never return.

@Phorm @PhoenixTril

I get that... I was not myself, back then, and I was too afraid to try.

@Phorm @JulieSqveakaroo @PhoenixTril I don't suppose y'all have heard of a Subgenius "theological" concept called the "Bulldada Cycle...?"

@zebratron2084 @Phorm @PhoenixTril

That's the one with the modern-art bovines, right?

@JulieSqveakaroo @Phorm @PhoenixTril If that's part of "Bob's" plan for the world, dear, it must have been in the apocrypha. 😼

@JulieSqveakaroo @Phorm I mean, it is, that's just the weekly event time. <=)

@Phorm @anthracite Well, it was the norm there at the best of times. Very often the norm there was "crickets." I don't want to idealize it. It did ultimately leave me very frustrated and sad-- there's a reason I escaped to 12Fold.

@zebratron2084 @anthracite

Ah, I am sorry about that - Though I feel like "crickets" is the norm just about everywhere and anywhere, eventually. And it hurts, when it's a special place to you.

I'm legitimately sorry that you suffered that. I am.
