okay so what the fuck

with f2fs, you can have a filesystem that fsck completely dies over, but is perfectly mountable

and mounting it repairs it

but in the general boot process, fsck is run before mounting, and if it exits with failure that's a fatal error

so this is what they mean by f2fs having a shitty fsck

the kernel driver just implements the repair instead

and any fixes are printed to dmesg

anyway I lost some unknown sqlite file

I had a huge All Tech Is Trash moment last night and unplugged everything because it was in advanced stages of malfunction and I was out of patience and wanted to sleep

I installed an update for my Kodibox last night and it completely stopped being able to connect to the internet, so

I will not be booting that again until unxal is ready and I'm ready to install ALARM on the Pi

I've become that insufferable golden hammer Arch user

every non-server system I touch grows an Arch install

arch has ruined my life because i basically want to use nothing else now

@unascribed

it's not even that it's good, so much as it just doesn't bother trying to obfuscate the bad parts. when something breaks (i.e. constantly) i have a working set of tools handy >_>
