I know I am nonbinary because categorizing myself as female or male each felt prescriptivist, wheras only nonbinary felt descriptivist. I experimented with labeling myself as each, and when neither male nor female fit, then by process of elimination I concluded that this only leaves the possibility of being nonbinary.
