itch.io bundle for racial justice and equality: lists of games that are accessible, have representation, etc.

I made a doc that helps you find games and other stuff in the itch.io bundle for racial justice and equality.

The doc has lists of games that meet certain accessibility requirements (blind-friendly, etc) or not (warnings about games that have especially bad flashing lights). It also has lists of games with various kinds of representation (POC, WLW, trans, etc). And then it has some lists of some other interesting kinds of content (educational, self care, etc). It's a work in progress, but it has a lot already!

Read it here, and comment with stuff to add: docs.google.com/document/d/11e

I'm getting carried away with expanding this list forever. Now I'm adding lists for stuff in the bundle about: printable card games, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, various kinds of animals (your favorite animal is possibly in there), plants, food...

Today, along with small additions to other sections here and there, I'm adding whole new sections listing games and other materials in the bundle that feature this stuff:
- seniors
- physical disabilities
- mental variations (there are games about ADHD, anxiety, and depression)
- religion and spirituality

You can browse and add to the list at docs.google.com/document/d/11e

@frameacloud Ooh nice, thanks!

Do you happen to have a non-Google version available anywhere, by any chance? Some of us try to avoid Google if at all possible.

@IceWolf

What would you suggest for something resembling the format of a Google Doc?

re: itch.io bundle for racial justice and equality: lists of games that are accessible, have representation, etc.

@frameacloud Hmm, maybe something like Etherpad or some such? That would even retain collaborative editing stuff. If you don't need that, a LibreOffice document hosted somewhere would probably be just as good.

Etherpad:

There's apparently something similar called Cryptpad that Disroot runs an instance of:

@frameacloud Orrr Nextcloud apparently has a thing! Looks pretty sweet if you already have an account on some Nextcloud instance, and don't need something with full-on Office-style precise page layout and such.

@frameacloud an accessibility thing worth tracking is first person view games that allow FOV adjustment for motion/simulation sickness

@wolfie

That's a good idea. What are some games in the bundle that do that?

@frameacloud I haven't played any of them sorry, it's just a feature that is frequently missed for first person perspective games

@frameacloud here's a review of one that mentions it causing motion sickness wandering.shop/@maunzi/1043931

@wolfie @frameacloud it's not first person though, it just has a moving pattern kind of thing at some parts

@maunzi @frameacloud true, but risk of motion sickness is still worth highlighting for accessibility

Okay, I added a section for it, with a few games that I think might qualify.
