Sudden memory flash: visiting the Amoeba Records store in Los Angeles that filled an entire city block with an immense sprawl of all kinds of obscure music.
I bought some Amon Tobin and some Pete Namlook if I recall correctly. Would have been there a lot more often if it hadn't been like an hour-long bus trip.
Never went to the LA one, but the Berkeley one was absolutely great, especially the used bins.
