Spent some more time working on that 2022 dragonsona revision. The usual fragmented closeup of eye colors turned into a headshot that I'm really happy with. I should do some more headshots, I always do full figure stuff.

Working on this revised model sheet has been interesting.

Peganthyrus really didn't change much over most of the twenty-seven years* she's been my fursona; there've been variants but she's always defaulted to "skinny black dragon with those weird head spines".

In 2018 though I made a Candy Orca Dragon variant (thanks Cordite) and that sorta... stuck. That version's been slowly trending back towards the original pitch-black silhouette in some ways, and I feel like this model sheet I'm working on now is kind of a culmination of that - it's bringing together a lot of things I've dabbled with and codifying them into something new. I wonder what she'll be defaulting to in another couple of decades.

Also geez Peganthyrus is 27 years old as a character, she was @newchar'd on Furrymuck near the end of 1995. There are pro artists out there who are younger than my fursona.

@anthracite I absolutely love the composition here. And that knowing smile is perfect.

@anthracite and if you really want to feel old; Peggy as a character predates me as a furry fan.

@Leucrotta

Surely only by a year or two I hope! You typed dirty things to her on FM after all.

re: Working on this revised model sheet has been interesting.

@anthracite Oh, definitely! I was definitely "into furry" by October 1996, because I attended the last ConFurence East ever.

@anthracite

I want to know what kind of tree she grew on, given that she clearly has a stem. :dragn_mlem:
