in which I do not find a massive accidental gift from Past Me
last night my brain just kept on going in a loop about how nice it would have been to have actually mined some bitcoin back when I was fucking with trying to get that going on an old computer in the back of my boyfriends' place in Boston, or to have not sold off a half dozen of them that I never re-acquired later when it crashed from like... 300, and to have a couple still sitting around now that it has turned into an absurd caricature of Capitalism In Action with it burning huge chunks of energy to create bullshit stores of value; it's probably a part of the tragedy of the commons but yeah I would totally own a tiny part of that catastrophe to not have to worry about rent, etc for the next couple years, you know?
so I dug in my old various crypto notes and accounts, and... not much, really; fifty bucks or so of various obscure currencies that Coinbase gave me for a few minutes reading presentations about why these were the special ones that would Change Everything
