fuckin' around with imovie again, trying to find enough shit to say about my process and my thoughts over a half hour of me drawing, and I'm just looking at it after getting five minutes in and going "uuuuhhhhh I have nothing more to say here"
more thoughts on the amount of time putting together a process video is taking
Also it seems that I spent a fuckin' hour in iMovie on (a) starting a re-render of the first attempt at "I talk over some recorded drawing" and (b) putting together this second chunk of recorded drawing, and saying stuff over a whole five minutes of about 30min of sped-up work". The first one was about 4.5h of drawing and 3h of recording commentary over an hour's worth of sped-up recordings.
This whole process is really time-intensive and I'm not a fan of that. I'm also kind of not a fan of how having the recorder going when I'm working creates a feeling of extra pressure; I haven't been recording myself working on this month's commissions and it feels a lot better. (I also didn't record myself working on the Archangel Dragons, both because I didn't want to feel that pressure on those pieces, and because the inner Magician felt like it was a Bad Idea to record me working on sigilized stuff.)
I kinda feel like I just fundamentally do not want to be on video, even in this attentuated way of putting voiceovers on recordings of me drawing.
