Every time I have to take out a new box of tissue I am delighted at how much slower I’m going through them. I was super-allergic to New Orleans as a kid; things got better when I moved to LA, Boston, and Seattle, but I still blew my nose a lot. But now that I’m back in NOLA it’s like my immune system just kinda shrugs. It’s seen a lot of different pollen over the decades, and it’s somehow realized that this pollen just ain’t gonna do anything.
Either that or I just finally shed a low-key sinus infection that I’ve had since age six, I dunno.
