@Draekos Before very recently, the terms "gay" and "lesbian" or "fag" and "dyke" or what have you were more about labeling members of a particularly community than some sort of typology of specific behavior. It was about what bar you went to, how you spoke, how you dressed.

Even now there is often a division, even among trans people, between, let's say... "fags of any gender" and "dykes of any gender".

sometimes in social spaces that are very queer and very polyamorous, all affection can get treated as flirting, any closeness as dating or on the way to it, etc. it can be treated as an assumption that we all wanna cuddle and kiss and maybe fuck all our good friends
