I dunno why but making silly bash one-liners that I can feed into "watch" is fun

dammit I wanted to go to the post office to pick up my RAM but I forgot it's labor day so it's almost certainly closed

debating whether to head down to the post office or not... it closed a couple hours ago and it's unlikely that the RAM I got would fit in my tiny PO box, unless it was put into one of those keyed delivery boxes, so getting my RAM doesn't seem likely

buuuut it would be a good excuse to go grab some food...

is there any word that means *precisely* the opposite of "oxymoron"? "redundant" works but it's not specific enough...

trying to shape up my resume, paraphrasing my previous supervisor telling me "you really know your shit" is an interesting exercise

I want to watch more #mlp but I've been watching it with @saphire and I'm not gonna skip ahead

waking up with a slight headache is never fun, but tea usually helps

if nothing else I really need a job so I can finally have a regular schedule to keep myself to

but I still haven't heard anything, not even a damn interview from months of looking. maybe I'm looking in the wrong places? maybe I'm looking for the wrong stuff?

the fact I can't even take a shitty part time gig because it'd mess up my benefits and stuff is really shitty too. I'd be okay with finding some dumb retail job or whatever, but I *need* full time x.x

like seriously this cold brew coffee is literally from concentrate, all I did was pour some into a mug and add water

and well crackers and cheese is pretty basic just to begin with, but it always feels more pretentious than that. not to mention it's *goat cheese* brie, I mean really

eating goat cheese brie and raisin rosemary crackers with cold brew coffee

this is like simultaneously the most lazy and most fancy snack ever

making cheesesteaks, finally putting that shaved beef steak and provolone to use!

and yet, the story isn't really gone, is it?

it's still there, everything is always there. even when the plot comes to an end, the story and the world and the characters all continue existing

not in any "real" ongoing sense, of course, but more in the way that they continue influencing you and keep being a part of you. the stories and the characters all carry on in your memories

it's more obvious if you're into fanfics, but they never really stop being there just because you reached the end

finally got off my butt and finished reading #homestuck

I feel... I dunno, I guess it's just that weird emptiness you feel when you finish reading a book and there's no more to read

you spend so long immersing yourself in this story and knowing and thinking and feeling these characters and arcs

you laugh and cry and love and hate and a part of yourself becomes dedicated to this story and then...

the story is gone, and it's back to our normal lives. no more of it taking up space in your brain

and before you ask, "koreaboo" is rejected due to sounding too much like a yu-gi-oh monster (you know the one)

I need your opinions, fediverse:

what's the korean equivalent to "weeaboo" or "weeb"?

so far I've only gotten "k-nerd" and "koreeb", neither of which are... punchy enough. I need something that speaks to your heart and tells you in no uncertain terms that you're not only a geek but a very specific kind of geek that deserves extra mention

watching #mlp with @saphire, I neeeeeed more episodes that focus on rainbow dash
