finally got off my butt and finished reading #homestuck
I feel... I dunno, I guess it's just that weird emptiness you feel when you finish reading a book and there's no more to read
you spend so long immersing yourself in this story and knowing and thinking and feeling these characters and arcs
you laugh and cry and love and hate and a part of yourself becomes dedicated to this story and then...
the story is gone, and it's back to our normal lives. no more of it taking up space in your brain
@ECrownofFire I KNOW it doe5n't really go away either, on5 the 5tory i5 done. I 5till think about thing5 in term5 of cla55pect5 & quadrant5 & if it'5 le55 pre5ent than you want it to be you can alway5 play Hive5wap or, you know, make an alt account on thi5 in5tan5 (we have auto-quirk!)
@craftyWordsmith classes and aspects still confuse me though, a lot of them didn't really get explained that well :V
@ECrownofFire Fortunately, I wa5 a coauthor of the I Like Home5tuck Project, & (in ca5e you're 5till intere5ted) we did deep dive5 into 5ome of the cla55pect5. http://ilikehome5tuckproject.tumblr.com/tagged/cla55pect
@craftyWordsmith huh, I'll take a look at that (after fixing the url :p)
though one MAJOR thing that changed the outlook of classpects was the whole like, the thing alt!callie mentioned about the ah... I forget the exact wording but it was something about the ultimate realization of all aspects being that embracing of all alternate selves and such. it was really interesting though
@ECrownofFire 5illy it may be, but I love how well it fit5 the metafictionality of Home5tuck. Lord Engli5h ha5 control of the narrative, ex5pt in dreambubble5, & ex5pt for the moment5 where Hu55ie & John expli5tly take control back.
